Mezzo-sopraan

As a soloïst Marion van den Akker worked with Gennadi Rozjdestvensky, Henry Lewis, Jean Fournet, Hartmut Haenchen, Edo de Waart, Yakov Kreizberg, Hans Vonk, Reinbert de Leeuw, Marc Soustrot, Claus Peter Flor, Kenneth Montgommery, Aldo Ceccato, G. Pehlivanian, Muhai Tang and Marc Foster. In the large orchestral repertoire her favorites are the Mahler lieder but she also sang the great oratorios and masses such as the Verdi Requiem performed at Palais des Beaux Arts in Brussels, the Stabat Mater by Rossini and Dvorak both performed in the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, the Missa Solemnis by Beethoven under Marc Soustros, the 9th of Beethoven under Claus Peter Flor also performed in the Concertgebouw Amsterdam. Mezzo soprano Tania Kross was born in Curaçao, Netherlands Antilles. She has established herself as one of the most important of the new generation of Dutch singers. She represented the Kingdom of the Netherlands at the 2003 Cardiff Singer of the World Competition. Tania Kross was elected by the Amsterdam Concertgebouw as Rising Star of the season 2004/2005. She gave a recital in the Kleine Zaal, and went on tour singing in many prestigious concert halls in the world, a.o. in Paris, Salzburg, Vienna, Athens, Birmingham, Cologne, and Carnegie Hall in New York. The mezzo-soprano, Rachel Ann Morgan, was born and brought up in a Welsh-speaking family in Cardiff, Wales. She began to play the harp at the age of nine and won several harp competitions in Wales. She read Music at the University of Bristol, then studied harp and singing at the Royal Conservatory of Music in The Hague. For five years she was harpist of the Netherlands Ballet Orchestra before embarking on a singing career which started at the Opera Studio of the Netherlands Opera Company. She has performed many opera roles, including the title roles in Rossini's La Cenerentola and Britten's The Rape of Lucretia and the role of Minerva in Monteverdi's opera Il Ritorno d'Ulisse in Patria with the Netherlands Opera in Amsterdam and in New York. Christianne Stotijn studeerde aanvankelijk viool en behaalde in 2000 haar diploma aan het Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Haar zangstudie volgde zij in Metz, London en Amsterdam waar zij in 2003 cum laude afstudeerde bij Udo Reinemann. Later werd zij gecoacht door Udo Reinemann, Jard van Nes en Janet Baker. Christianne Stotijn won verscheidene prijzen waaronder de Echo Rising Stars 2005/2006 en de Borletti Buitoni Award 2005. Sinds 2005 maakte zij tevens deel uit van de BBC New Generation Artists, een prijs die haar in staat stelde met alle belangrijke BBC orkesten in de U.K. te werken.
