Limin Yang, soprano
Limin is a young vocalist, actress and photomodel with an impressive international resume. She was born in Shanghai, China. Her mother was a professional Chinese Opera singer, her grandmother taught singing and piano at the Shanghai Academy of Music. Both had a major impact on Limin's musical education.
In 1992, Limin came to The Netherlands to study at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague. She studied with Wout Oosterkamp and Rita Dams, attended masterclasses of Elly Ameling and graduated in 1997.
Limin has performed on a wide array of occasions throughout Europe. The style of her concert performances is deeply moving and awakens strong emotions. Her songs are not only for the lovers of classical music, but also for those who appreciate folk songs and modern songs.
