Biography Arthur Cune
Arthur Cune studied percussion at the Royal Conservatoire in his place of birth: The Hague. As a musician he played in numerous symphony orchestras and ensembles like 'Circle Percussion', 'The Netherlands Wind Ensemble', 'Rondom Ensemble', 'Hoketus' and the 'Asko Ensemble'. He has applied himself for many years to educational projects and workshops in Sweden, Great Britain, Israel, Belgium and The Netherlands.

With 'The Netherlands Dance Theater' he performed during many foreign tours with the choreographies: 'Circles' (Glen Tetley), 'Start to finish' (Paul Lightfoot), 'Kaguyahime' and 'Falling Angels' (Jirí Kylián). Currently he is a percussionist of Holland Symfonia.
Arthur wrote music for more than 30 film and television projects among which several T.V. series, short movies and the cinema movie 'Moord in Extase' (aka 'Murder In Ecstasy') of the director Hans Scheepmaker. Arthur also wrote the music for two choreographies in the workshops of 'Het Nationale Ballet' and in February 2000 he completed the music for the choreography 'Terre á Terre' of Patrick Delcroix for IT Dansa in Barcelona. In May 2000 'Arcimboldo 2000' had its premiere during an anniversary of 'The Nederlands Dans Theater' in The Hague. Arthur Cune wrote some music for this production.
With Bouwe de Jong he wrote 'Zapfonie 2000' for symphony orchestra and 'Danielle (la plus belle)' for the national finals of the Eurovision Song Contest, performed by the Dutch a cappella group Montezuma's Revenge.
